چکیده

Abstract The thermal shock of subsurface material with shear instability and severe plastic flow during scuffing was investigated. damage M50 steel tested using a high-speed rolling—sliding contact test rig, the transient temperature calculated Fourier transform method considering effects both frictional heat work. results show that rapid rise subsequent decrease in is generated layers. power intensity generates high rise, leading to austenitization material. Consequently, layer under stress, resulting strain energy further increase. Subsequently, quenches material, clear slip bands retained austenite layers steel.

Simulation of Material Plastic Flow and Morphology During Friction Stir Welding of Stainless Steel to Aluminum Alloy Dissimilar Joint

Today, steel to aluminum joints are used to facilitate transportation and fuel consumption. These joints are applied from nuclear, aerospace and naval to automobile and kitchen industries. According to previous studies fusion welding processes are not suitable methods for these joints, solid-state welding, especially friction stir welding, is a proper way to use for these joints. However, using...

THERMAL SHOCK OF REFRACTORIES

Being brittle and having low thermal conductivity, refractories suffer damage and sometimes fail in service as a result of thermal shock. While the approach of those making fine-grained technical ceramics is to make their products sufficiently strong to withstand thermal stresses the refractory technologist is more cunning. He uses, often little known, devices to provide resistance to thermal s...

Influence of Niobium on the Beginning of the Plastic Flow of Material during Cold Deformation

Investigations were conducted on low-carbon steel and the steel with same chemical composition with addition of microalloying element niobium. While tensile testing was carried out, the thermographic measurement was tacking place simultaneously. A specific behavior of niobium microalloyed steel was noticed. Test results have shown that, in the elastic deformation region, thermoelastic effect oc...

A Thermal Shock-Chemical Reactive Problem in Flow of Viscoelastic Fluid with Thermal Relaxation

Effects of thermal and species diffusion with one relaxation time on the boundary layer flow of a viscoelastic fluid bounded by a vertical surface in the presence of transverse magnetic field have been studied. The state space approach developed by Ezzat [1] is adopted for the solution of one-dimensional problem for any set of boundary conditions. The resulting formulation together with the Lap...
